May is Preservation Month in Georgia
Check our events calendar for events in May.  

Activities sponsored by HPD include:

- Preservation Month Lecture Series at Rhodes Hall, Atlanta in partnership with the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation every Thursday in May. Lectures and light refreshments are free and begin at 6pm.

- Georgia Preservation Month proclamation will be signed by Governor Deal on May 2.  Feel free to use the state proclamation text as a template for your own community's proclamation.  This year's theme is "Discovering Georgia's Hidden Gems."

- 2012 "Downtown Georgia" photo contest seeks photos of the state's diverse historic downtown buildings and streetscapes by May 24.
