Certified Local Governments
Any city, town, or county that has enacted a historic preservation ordinance, enforces that ordinance through a local preservation commission, and has met requirements outlined in the Procedures for Georgia's Certified Local Government Program is eligible to become a CLG.

HPD now operates a community email listserv for HPCs and CLGs in Georgia. The list serves as an open forum for discussions related specifically to the issues facing HPCs and CLGs. While open to all, it is geared especially toward HPC/CLG commission members and staff, planners, local government employees, and volunteers.
